Frequently Asked Questions

Sessions, Fees, Policies & More

I offer several formats including: Parenting consultations, which can occur on a recurring or as needed basis. Family sessions with some or all family members. Individual sessions for children, teens and young adults. Sometimes treatment may include a mix of these formats.

During our initial consultation and on an ongoing basis we will assess the best way to keep parents involved based on you and your child’s goals. Typically, when seeing children under 12, we will schedule regular parent check-ins. For younger children some parents may attend the majority of sessions. For teens, check-ins may be infrequent and/or include the teen.

Typically sessions are 45-50 minutes.

I am not currently accepting new clients. However, upon returning from maternity leave my availability will be limited to one evening and two mornings per week.

As I return from maternity leave, I am only seeing clients virtually. I hope to have an in-person space again in the future.

To see me virtually you must be located in California, Ohio, Florida or Illinois at the time of our session.

My current rate is $220/50 minute session.

HSA/FSA funds can often be utilized for therapy sessions. Please check with your provider.

While I do not accept insurance, I am able to provide a receipt for anyone wishing to submit a claim to their insurance for “out-of-network” care. To better understand your out-of-network benefits, please call your insurance provider. Here are a few questions that may be helpful to ask:

  • “Do I have Out of Network coverage for psychotherapy?”
  • “What is the allowable amount for psychotherapy?”
  • “How much of the psychotherapist’s fee is covered?”
  • “Do I need to meet a deductible before coverage begins?”
  • “How many sessions are covered?”
  • “Are there specific diagnoses that are or are not covered?”

When we schedule an appointment, I reserve that time just for you. I require at least 48 hours notice to reschedule or cancel appointments. Without proper notice, the full session fee is charged.

Yes, I am able to offer supervision to those with their MSW seeking their licensure (LCSW or LISW). I am most familiar with the California licensure process. Please refer to my availability, policies and fees above as well as my approach page. If you would like to discuss supervision, but cannot afford my full fee please feel free to reach out as I have a limited number of reduced fee spots.
